    Noise in Sink Area
I have had a leak before under the slab. I am currently hearing rushing water that sounds similar in my bathroom sink area. I went to look at my water meter and it is still as far as I could tell. If it was moving it is very slow. What else could be leaking I am on a sewer system, does that make a difference?

    Thank you,

Shut the water off at the house shut off. If the sound of rushing water stops then you have a hidden leak. This isn't a job for the home owner. Call in a leak detection service to locate the leak and a plumber to repair it. Good luck, Tom

When I turned the water off the sound continued? What does that mean is it a leak outside of my line?

When the water is shut off at the main check the meter if it is moving, if it is then the leak is between the meter and your main shut off valve, also when the main shut off is close check the sink if there is water coming if water is flowing through the faucet this mean that your main shut off valve is not closing completely, if no water flow the S/O valve is OK.

You say that you closed the shut off valve the sound continued, is the sound inside the house or out side if inside the house your main S/O is not closing properly, it shows 2 problems a leak inside the house and your S/O valve is not closing,

If the sound is out side your house then there is a leak between the meter and your main S/O valve.

To isolate your problem please open the link below and watch the video will give you and idea, Good luck.

When I turn on the hot water at my kitchen sink, it makes a noise after the pipe heats up (about 10 seconds). The cold water tap doesn't make a noise. What could this be?
