    Excrsize dangerious during pregnancy
My husband and I are trying to concive. I have put on a few pounds in the last few months and I want to loose it before I get pregnant so that I won't have that extra weight on me when I am pregnant. So my question is... Is it OK to excersize during your pregnancy. I have just purchased a stair master that gives a great workout. No running but major burning on the legs and but. I would love to try to continue this during my pregnancy. When I was pregnant with my son 3 yrs ago. I had stopped working out, due to extreme tiredness, and had gained almost 60lbs through my pregnancy. It took 8 to 10 months to get it off. I don't want to gain that much weight again and deffinitly don't want it to take that long to get it off. I don't want to put myself at risk of anything. So please some let me know if they excersize during their pregnancy and how it benift them.

I exercised with my first pregnancy, and am doing so with this one also. I walk about 1-1 1/2 miles a day, I was doing aerobics but find that I get to tired (I am 23 weeks), and winded. A nice brisk walk daily did wonders for my first pregnancy, gained less than 20 lbs, and so far I have only gained 2lbs with this pregnancy. Just do not overdo it, if you get to tired cut back or try something easier.

Swimming is great, light exercise is best.. some gyms won't allow you to use their equipment to cover their own backs should anything awful happen.. just a tip I was trying to loose baby fat after my 1 year old and working out every other day at the gym has just caused me to miscarry... please go careful xx (little and often as they say! )

When you do fall pregnant try your local sports center or swimming pool.. most places have exercise classes especially for pregnant women! Lots of walking is great.. I walked 2 miles every other day and it kept my weight at bay I put on 1 an a half stone so good luck

As the others have said, it's great to exercise during most pregnancies... just keep it within your comfort limits. If you are in good condition, and used to exercising before you become pregnant, you can often maintain close to the same intensity, but you have to listen to your body and make any necessary adjustments to what you are doing and your routine. Your body will be working harder during pregnancy just on its own, so paying attention to your heartrate, breathing, temp, and soreness level are going to be important.

Women who exercise regularly often have an easier time in labor, not that it goes faster, but they tend to have more endurance, more stamina.
