If I am a 1/2 on a deed can I be forced to sell property?
I went in partners on my parents ranch I am on the Deed Both parents are deceased and I am arguably intitled to a 1/3 of the other 1/2. Of course my siblings want to force a sale can they?

Depends on the State and why they want to sell. In NY, yes, the majority can force the minority to sell. OR the minority can buy out the majority. OR the Court can decide what is equitable, as well as who legally holds how many shares/what percentage.

I will assume this is in probate court, and yes they may push the judge to order it be sold, or for you to buy them out to settle the estate.

If you can prove that you are entitled to 1/3 of your parents' half of the property, then you would legally own approximately 2/3 of the property; why not just buy the other 1/3 from your siblings?
