    Shower Handle won't budge
How do I get a corroded shower handle off? We took out the little screw but the handle won't budge. Can not get the back plate off until handle comes off. We tried clr wd40 and vinegar but to no avail. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Keep tapping it with large screw drive handle. Top one side few time, then the other side, than on top, then on bottom. Keep pulling on handle in the process. It will go but it will take few minutes of your time...

There is such a thing as a handle puller, I am sure that Home Depot might have one. In my shop if someone buys parts from me I let them use certain tools and the handle puller is one of them.

    Hi all:

Try tapping on the handle as Milo suggested.

If that fails or you give up... ;) you may want to purchase the handle puller/compression nut & ferrule removal tool letmetellu mentioned... available at all home improvement stores... see picture.

This will usually work unless you have a symmons tub and shower valve... and even then it works on occasion.

Let us know if need more info.
