My cat won't eat or drink, and she wants to lie on a cool floor. I tried feeding her by hand, but she won't eat. I think she has gotten into something toxic when she was outside. Yesterday she threw up a foamy substance. I read to make bed and they like to be kept warm, but when I put her on a pillow blanket, she went back to the cool floor in front of th kitchen sink. I can't get to the vet until Monday. What do I do?

If you suspect she may have gotten into something toxic, time may well be of the essence. If there is an emergency after-hours vet clinic in your area I would urge you to take her there at once.

If there isn't, then the first thing you have to try to do is to get some idea what she may have gotten into (this will be the vet's first question as well). Different toxins require different therapies, and so I'm afraid I can't recommend anything to you in the absence of more information. If you can get her to the vet, they'll likely draw blood and that will usually go a long way toward enabling some determination to be made regarding the substance to which she has been exposed.
