My children had a negative relationship with their father. Who is an extreme racist towards white people and hispanic people. He was convicted of child pornography in 1997. He is a rolling stone and just became stable a year ago with an one bedroom apartment. He currently has a female living with him.
I moved in Feb 2008 and did not tell him. He was no where to be found. When he found out that I moved he was angry and took me to court for custody of our two children 3 and 7. girl and boy.
I was notified in November 2008. He also has a history of being violent towards me and the children. The children are frightened of him. He has never supported the children. There was not a child support case established. However, I did go to child support services in November.
The children has never lived with him. And, I have always been stable.
I am married and have 3 other children.
He is unmarried with 2 other children. And, pays child support for one, which he is always behind on.
I am unable to get a lawyer, and he does not have one. I was wondering what I should do. Or if anyone can give me some advice.
This is scary for me. I am a stay home mom. And have sacrificed my all for them. They are stable and always have been. Being away from me would devastate them.

The odds are not good that he would get anything more than supervised visitations. As a convicted sex offender, it would be surprising he would be allowed around children at all.

Assemble all your documentation. His criminal record, any records of domestic violence, his lack of contact for many years, etc. Take all this into court and make sure the judge is aware of it.
