    Hi, maria1966!

Is there something wrong with your windows, please? My home is close to 100 years old, and I've never considered replacing the windows.

    Thanks!

    Good point clough.

    maria1966!

Windows aren't like, its now time to change the oil in my car.

Your question asked rest on how bad are the windows you have to begin with

    1. Sills rotted?
    2. Seals/ windows loose in it tracks rattles in wind?
    3. Are they single pane and loose a lot of heat ?
    4. They simply don't operate well to open and close.
    5. If they are double pane and the seal broke and fogging up inside?
    5. Are they wood and needs caulk and painted to often ?
    6. What will you gain by replacing them?
    7. If you are going to replace them can you install yourself to offset the cost to gain ratio, and if not what is the long term benefit?

Just trying to shed some light as to ask why your thinking to replace.

If your windows are single pane thickness then it might be a good idea to upgrade to thermopane or even thriple glazed windows. Tell us more about what you currently have.
