Rough idle on 04 town and country
I have an 04 town and country that has been idling rough at red lights. I first thought it was bad gas and the mechanic found on the computer that it was missing on cylinder two. So I had them change the plugs and wires even though I had platinum plugs that are recommended to be changed at 100,00 miles this vehicle only has 40,000. The trouble continues still only now it is rough at red lights and has stalled a few times. I am now on the third full tank since the problem began and it has not gotten better. I spoke to a Chrysler mechanic and he said I would need to have the chek engine on for him to diagnoise the problem. Does any one know of a qualified mechanic in central jersey who may be able to remedy this issue. Perhaps someone has a better idea of what to look for than the mechanics I have been to. Thanks for ryour help.

Did your mechanic properly gap the spark plugs when he replaced them? Do you know what brand of wires he used? A lot of aftermarket places offer an "economy" wire set and a premium wire set; the economy brand is always worth less than you pay for them. I don't offer them to customers any longer as they were always back in no more than 6 months with the same problem.

Check and clean the throttle body and it's passages. Even monor build-up at the throttle plate can cause many symptoms, including those you listed.
You may also have an older Engine Control Module program that is in need of an update.
For that, you'll need to contact your local dealer.

Ensure that the installed platinum plugs were the exact Champion spark plugs that came in the vehicle. Stay away from cross-reference plugs. I helped a couple recently that had installed Splitfire plugs in their 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. The plugs broke down after no time and the truck would not start. When the specified Champion plugs were installed, the truck ran perfectly. Be sure to use dielectric grease on the porcelein portion of the plugs, as well as all connections.

If the problem persists, consider replacing the coil:
