    1998 town & country
    Hello , I starting to see some oil leakage directly underneath the crankshaft on my T&C making it look like an oil pan gasket leak So can anyone tell me if this is the front seal that I might need and if its fairly easy to replace myself I'm somewhat mechanical any help whould whould be great thanks..

    Possibly the oil pan gasket has grown brittle and is seeping.
    Does the leak appear to be towards the front of the engine or more towards the rear?
    Front area leakage could also be front crank seal or the front engine cover... rear could be rear main seal and/or intake gasket seepage.
    One way to be certain is to clean the area with brake parts cleaner (evaporates quickly) and run the engine until you can determine where the source of the leak is.

    Leaks often appear one place but originate above and drip down. Clean everything and go from there.

    Thx 4 all your help and I have cleaned everything with degreaser then ran engine again it just looks like its coming directly under the crankshaft in the front.. is this a easy seal to replace in this van& what's the seal called ? Because I've heard it's really easy but I just wonder if that's really the case LoL?
