    300c transmission.
My car will not go into gear. What should I do what should I look for to get it out of park?

Is there a release switch somewhere that makes the car go into drive after you push on the brake that can go out and not let me put the car drive?

Get the car on a flat surface, if possible. You may need to have someone push the car forward to take the pressure off the mechanism.

Check to see if your brake lights are working when you step on the pedal. If the brake switch on the pedal lever is bad, it won't let you shift out of drive.
