    Hollow man
Alrighty guys, so I have this issue. I go one one date or meet a guy once and they feel like they have to define a relationship. I just want t have fun and get to know someone and not feel all awkward you know? There is this guy I really like but last night when I asked him just to hang out with a group he texted back something along the lines of "i just dont feel anything in general im hollow and i dont know how id feel being in a relationship" and I responded back with... well I'm just asking to hang out not be in a relationship... and he said he liked hanging out with me. Like honestly we have hung out once.. so I'm kind of laughing it off.. but does ANYONE get what this hollow stuff means? And how I can work with it? It concerns me a little for his own safety you know?

I think he's just trying to say he's not looking for any emotional connection with anyone. He probably explained himself the way he did because he really likes you and doesn't want you to think the reason he's not going to try for a relationship with you is because he doesn't like you. Thus he says he's "hollow".
