    Home abandonment
    I have been married 3 years, but the house I live in is in my husbands name only. He has left and refuses to pay the mortgage. What can I do in this situation, will I have to leave the home or is there some way to work something out with the mortgage company to be able to stay in the home? We have no children, just me and him.

    Did he own the home before you were married, you need to file for divorce and see if you can get the house in the divorce.

    You can temp make a payment or two so you are not foreclosed on. ** think of it as paying rent"

    Also you may get alimony from your husband during the divorce. But the divorce may take months and months, even into a year or two depending on how each party fights.

    He bought the house after we got married. We were married 02-25-06 and we moved into the house 03-20-2006
