    Pool pump does not prime itself any more.
    My Purex Triton Whisperflow pump for my inground pool does not prime itself. They sell a seal kit. Do you think this would fix the problem?

    Disconnect the incoming line to see if you have a free flow of water present. If the flow is good then the seal kit is a good option.

    Disconnecting the incoming line on an inground pool will show u nothing. The pump is above water level. What I would look for would be... air leak on suction side of pump, or the gasket seals on the pump strainer lid.

    Pool guy is correct, I missed the "inground" part. My advice was better suited for an above ground pool.
