    Mrsa around my school
What exactly is MRSA? Apparently it's around my school and I'm really scared to get it. I searched it up on the internet but it only talks about old people having HA-MRSA. Please help me!

Mrsa is a staph infection that's of a more difficult strain to treat. Most people in hospitals get this after an operation.

MRSA can be airborne (but rarely), and is often transferred via contact. Yes, hospitals are sanitized, however, MRSA is a strain that is often strong and does not work with basic antibiotics.

You having a cold weakens your immune system, which puts you at higher risk of catching mrsa. Usually, mrsa presents itself with rashes, boils, pus, and other skin problems. It can also infect the lungs, but this is also relatively rare.

Right now, I suggest you avoid touching door handles, making physical contact with those that may be infected, etc.

Right now, your chances of catching mrsa is very low, as long as you keep up with good hygiene, avoid contact with those that are infected, as well as washing your hands often with antibacterial soap and perhaps keeping one of those hand sanitizers with you.

Yeah my mom bought me a bottle and I keep it in my bookbag. The thing is that I don't know who is infected but I'm going to try to keep my hands out of touching desks. She also bought me anti-bacterial wipes so I clean everything I touch. I know I'm sounding like a germ freak I just don't want to encounter mrsa. Thanks so much and I had to miss school today just because I want them to maybe investigate more on it. But thank you once again.
