    Info sent to Turbo Tax
The place I work, sent my W2 info to Turbo Tax, I received a notice from them that If I decide to use turbo tax that my info is already posted with them.

Ok, guess I am having an issue with this. What if I did not want Turbo Tax to have my info,

Hmmm, are you sure they sent the info to Intuit? Or are they saying that the info can be imported into Turbo Tax?

For at least the last 3 years, TT has had the ability to import W2 info if the company has subscribed to a service.

But I would agree that actually sending the data to Intuit is a violation of your privacy.

You've already made tax time easier for your employees by securely sending their W-2 information to Intuit. Now, you can share the benefits of using TurboTax with your employees! Share this message in one of two ways:

To me it says that their sent the info to them using quick books and then they forward the link to me to log into turbo tax where my income info is available and already downloaded.

Ok, to be honest I would have used them anyway most likely, But sending my earnings to a 3rd party without permission, it seems to be a marketing thing hooked up though quickbooks

They should have given you the ability to opt out of this before doing it.

Turbo tax e-file [ 4 Answers ]

If a turbo tax e-file status is sill pending, should I file an extension? It's nearly 9:00 and I'm getting nervous about it. I did a tax return for a friend and I don't want to cost her any money in late fees. Does it count that the errors were fixed yesterday and resubmitted?
