    Is CD protected from bank levy?
    My son owes back childsupport in another state. They recently captured the funds in his checking account. Were they also able to take the money from a CD he holds at that bank?

    If they know it's there you can bet they are going to try to get it.

    Of course of your son were responsible this question would be moot. I hope they DO get it. Deadbeat parents should be in jail.
