    Changing out a closet flange
Is there anyway to change from a steel closet flange to PVC? The old steel closet flange is broken on one side and rusting. I would like to install a PVC replacement or a kit that adapts it to PVC. Is there such a kit?

You have several ways to go about repairing your closet ring:

    1. Install Repair ring over exiting ring ( see pic 1 )
    2. Remove old ring, install Twist and Seal ring (pic 2)
    3. Remove old ring, install new Insert Toilet Ring ( pic 3 )
    4. Remove old ring, install new 2" (deep) Cast Iron closet ring ( pic 4 )

To remove old ring, take 4" grinder and cut of the ring from the inside out. Wear good gloves and goggles.

For what it's worth I used something similar to option #3 and it worked out beautifully.
