I have been on medical leave, was placed on leave by boss, since last April. I have been receiving workman comp benefits, and pay since then. I am still under doctor's care and have not been released back to work.

Here is my current situation. My boyfriend and I are parting ways, I have no family in this state, and will be moving to another state where my daughter lives. Therefore, I will be giving my two week notice at work.

I am needing to find out how this will affect my workman's comp claim/payments. I have not been able to find any answers to this particular problem. And searching under workman's comp sites have not provided any help.

Just researching this fast I have checked two different States and found two different sets of rules. One says WC pays because you are unable to work at your job so you can't collect if you don't have a job. The other says you can collect until you are released to go back to work, job or no job.

I wouldn't take a chance and would consult with an Attorney - if you make the wrong decision you will lose your benefits.

What does your WC attorney say?

I do not have an attorney at this time. But I am checking into that. I have not had any problems receiving my benefits to this point. Thank you for your time.

When you get a firm answer, would you post it so other people can benefit? Also, the State.

I will be glad to since there is very little info to this question. The state is Pennsylvania
