    Problems with hot running water
When I turn my hot water bath tap on it runs hot for a few seconds , then it goes cold. But when I slow the water to a trickle it goes really warm but it takes to long to fill my bath , my boiler pressure is correct , was just wondering if you had any ideas as to what the probem is ? Thanks stuart mclean

    Hi Stuart...

Has this been happening for a long time? Is this something that has gotten worse over time? Confirm, if you will, that you have a TANKLESS COIL at the boiler or do you have a storage tank alongside the boiler?

    Let me know more here...

    I got you!

I looked up the Valiant boiler and it looks like it is what they refer to as a COMBI. Boiler. I have only installed one about a month back and getting the water temp. correctly balanced was a bit of a hassle... but it is something you can do if you have the instruction booklet that came with the unit.

Otherwise, look the unit up on www.aol.com and see if you can get your hands on the instruction manual or call Valiant technical department. You should probably get your hands on the model number, the serial number and THEN call people if needed.

Maybe someone else has insight here that I don't, but with these particular boilers, balancing the hot water so it is instantaneous and has sufficient VOLUME to supply your fixtures is something you need an instruction manual to do!

Good luck and let me know if you think we can help as you go along with this!

Try getting someone in to clean out hot water pipes. My son had it done for $90 and now has PLENTY hot water.
