    direct3d running problems
Hello, I have bought flight sim X ( I tested my PC on the Microsoft game check website and it said my PC was adequate!) but the game would not start because of a video card problem, so I update my VIA video card driver to support direct3d. I have done this but if I try to run the game the menu works fine, but when entering gameplay the PC reboots its self.
In the dxdiag menu when testing the direct3d function it works for 7 interfaces then when going onto 8 interfaces a blank black screen appears and then comes up to the blue error screen with the error, vtdisp- device driver got stuck in an infinate loop.
I've looked for ages for any hints. Help!!

This has been a problem with VIA and ATI video cards. A quick fix that worked for some can be found here:Infinite Loop Fix! - TechSpot Troubleshooting
However you may experience reduced performance from you card after trying this. You may be force to replace the card altogether.

    Good Luck,
