Judgements on credit reports
How can I get a judgement removed from my credit report after I have paid it in full?

Wait for 10 years and the judgement will no longer show up.
A judgememt is a court record showing there was one filed, merely paying it does not remove the fact that the legal action took place

Hello yo:
It's true. If you do nothing, it'll stay there for 10 years, and a PAID judgment is hardly better than a NON PAID one...
However, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, requires the credit bureaus to report ACCURATE information. If it's NOT accurate, you have the right to challenge it. Get copies of ALL three bureau reports... Look for anything that may be inaccurate. The law doesn't distinguish between a minor inaccuracy or a major one. It simply says "accurate". Look closely at things like a dates or account numbers or amounts of money. If any of those things are inaccurate, then they are, and you have the right to challenge them.
If you were to do so, there's a chance it could come off.

I wrote a strongly worded letter to Equifax for a friend on mine. I got a false bankruptcy and a paid judgment off his credit report, so it's worth a try. Usually the other 2 reporting agencies will follow suit, clearing up their reports to match the others.
My incident may be a bit different than yours, also. My friend had an agreement with the collection agency that they would remove the listing from his credit report after settling. Instead, they reported that he was 145+ days late on payment 3 months after they accepted the settlement.

Depending on what state you are in, the answer could be different. In California, the judgment creditor has 5 Days to file an Acknowledgement of Satisfaction with the court (and send you a copy hopefully - that's what I do... ). If they did not do that, contact the court for direction (perhaps the small claims advisor) to see what can be done, since the filing of this form is REQUIRED in California.:)

Hello KJ:
Even if they file the requisite acknowledgement, it would only result in the judgment being marked as paid. It DOESN'T come off, and that what the OP was asking about.
I stand by what I said above.
