Defering payments?
I'm currently taking a course and my payment options form was late getting to them in the mail. I sent messages back and forth to the school and origionally they said my payment would be posted in 48 hours, 4 days later still no payment had gone through so I sent another letter, they responded saying since my forms came in late I would have to personally pay for the month of December and from January on it would come from my account. I naturally sent a message back asking if it somehow could come right from my account like it was supposed to and the response I got back was
"Thank you for your recent inquiry. At ICS Canada we are always pleased to see students active in their studies. We stand by to assist you.
You do have another option I can defer the December payment and the first payment will process in January. Please let us know if this is acceptable to you.
We hope this response has been helpful to you. If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to e-mail a reply or call us "
WHAT I was wondering was what does defering a payment exactally mean. I was told it means they will count January as my first payment and they would transfer the month owed to the end and I wouldn't get charged with late fees...

If they told you that they won't charge you a fee, you are dead on with what it means. They in a sense, forget that December happened and just start counting the number of payments in January. They essentially just slide the entire process back a month. They might charge you interest for December but that would just get tacked onto the principal.

The only time I would be charged with any fee's was if the payment was late enough to run past the due date for the next month. THANKS so much for telling me I was right as to what I thought it was have a good one
