    Back in the day on my home planet, I was really shy too, and labeled weird because of it. My lack of confidence tempered my efforts where young ladies were concerned. As I matured and my shell thinned, many of my schoolmates would say, "Wow, you're nothing like I thought you were" or words to that effect, once aquaintances were made. I was never "popular" but the few friends I had were close and loyal, and I was okay with that. Looking back, it seems as though I developed a quick wit as a defense mechanism to mask my inward nature. So now you know... and it all makes a li'l more sense, huh?
