    Vcr/dvd to t.v. Hook-up
Hi, I just got a new vcr/dvdcombo and I just want to know how to make a simple hookup fron the VCR to the TV. It came with red, yellow & white cables and no directions. I guess they forgot to put them in the box. I just want to hook up the VCR side for now. And what chanell do you put the T.V. on when you hook this up. Thanks

    Hi, pilgrim770!

Greetings and WELCOME to the site! I just moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this forum topic area so that it would get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

It can be a little confusing when first learning how to use this site! Your question will get noticed much more in this forum area.

We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.

    Thanks!

If your TV has a red, yellow, and white port on it, you connect the cable to those ports, and to the same colored port on the VCR. Then you need to find the remote control for the TV, and there should be a button that says either "TV/Video" or "Input." I have also seen it say "Game" on smaller/cheaper TVs.
Press this until you see something like "Video" or "Video 1" or even "Game." If you have more than one "Video" it might take a couple tries to find the right one. There should be a label by where you plugged the cables in to the TV to help. Once you connect the cables, and switch the TV to the correct mode, you should be able to see the VCR on the screen.
