    Getting pregnant with Twins
    Dear "ask me",

    Is it possible to get pregnant with twins from a twin himself?

    There are some very interesting variations in multiple births but generally the father would not influence the possibility of twins because it depends on whether the mother releases more than one egg. For some women there can be a hereditary factor that will increase the possibility of that occurring... as well as a few other factors. Twins occurring in this manner would be fraternal twins. Identical twins come about when a single fertilized egg splits into two halves.
