Hampton bay ceiling fan remote won't work
My Hampton Bay ceiling fan will not respond to the remote. We lost power to the fan and although the light lights up on the remote, neithe the fan or light will respond. The battery is new, and no one has changed the settings in the remote or the fan. Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated. Thank You!

Is it a new fan, or was it previously working and then this problem? What do you mean when you say you lost power?

Hi we just bought a new Hampton Bay ceiling fan with a remote and hooked it up exactly as the book said. They said to put it together as far as the blade assembly; then to check to make sure it doesn't wobble before putting in the lower light assembly. It also does have lights in the upper part of it. We checked the pins in the transmitter and also the receiver and they are the same. Turned on the hydro and nothing, deader then a doornail:-(. No lights work and the fan doesn't run.
The transmitter red lights goes on; so know that it is trying to contact the receiver?
Anyone have any idea please on how to make it work; or is the receiver a 'dud'?
Thanks so much for any help, it would sure be appreciated; we are at a loss here!

How did you wire it at the ceiling?

Have you tried assembling it fully? There may be additional wiring in the bottom part.

What was there before the fan, how was it wired, what controlled it?

    What is hydro?
