    No hot water upstairs
    No water coming out of hot water faucet upstairs... cold water runs from cold side... plenty of hot water through rest of house...

    HELP!

    Is it tankless?

    If not I think there might be something wrong with your pipes. Did you just change something?

    No,

    Nothing changed... just woke up yesterday and noticed when I turned on faucet.

    The heater has a tank...

    Please explain farther. What valve are you talking about? What's the brand name? One handle or two knobs? How old? Do you flush your heater on a regular maintenance schedule? Let me know. Tom

    The hot water heater is made by Rheem and I have never flushed it-I've been in this house for about 15 years or so.

    My faucets upstairs are made by Glacier Bay and about 4 years old-2 handles-one spigot. Plenty of water from the cold spigot but nothing comes out the spigot when I turn on the hot water handle.

    What is the outside temp in your area. Is the faucet located near and outside wall?

    It's quite cold here in New Jersey. The sink isn't located on a outside wall nor near it.

    I thought no one was ever going to ask about the possibility of freezing until I saw "mygirlsdad77's" question above. I think that you probably have a frozen pipe that takes the hot water to the faucet. If you can you need to blow some warm air down into the area at the end of the tub that the faucet is on. A good way to do this is to use a hair dryer or if you have a tank vacuum you can reverse the air flow and blow warm air into that area.

    You can almost bet that a pipe that takes the hot water to that faucet had frooze and it finely got warm enough for it to thaw. If there is any way you need to protect that pipe from freezing again. If you can get to the faucet from the other side of the wall, then you might stuff insulation into the wall around the pipes.
