    Rhodium, Palladium & Platinum.
Hello. My goal is to extract these three precious metals from a catalytic converter.
I would like to know what would be the safest, at home way of doing this.
I don't necessarily need the entire process as much as I need the following two questions answered:

    1. What sort of vessel or apparatus will I need for this reaction? Examples would be helpful.

    2. What is the best way to get to the high temperature that I need to be at to succeed?

If you'd like to tell me the entire process for extracting Rhodium, Palladium and Platinum out of a catalytic converter; that would be great as well. I would like to compare the information I receive with my own plan.

Keep in mind that I will be doing this at home and with very little assistance.

These three metals are difficult to dissolve and extract. It's not the sort of thing that you can do at home.
