He may be going through a growth spurt and his demands for food are larger.Try giving him a little more formula in the evening and making his last feeling later than usual.

He is breast fed. Sorry forgot to tell you. Have introduced formula at night as he cries after breast feeds as if still hungry.

Hay Maria.. you do know then that breast milk is very light and I remember my kids waking every 2 to 3 hrs. until they were at least 7 or 8 months.

The feeling back in those days (21plus ys.ago) was to never supplement with formula. But the few times I did give them a bottle they were almost in a stupor. LOL

Often when babies are learning new skills they wake up more and I would just say if it really seems to be a *hunger* issue and not that he just wants to socialize than ask his ped. If you can maybe introduce cereal or fruit before bedtime .

If he becomes really wide awake at night I would also think about trying to limit his daytime napping or adjust his schedule.

Keep the lights low at nighttime feelings and don't engage in conversation. He has to know it's not time for a tea party. Be all business! ;)

Hang in there,, this too shall pass!
