    Thermostat Display shuts off
My digital thermostat display shuts off once every couple of days. It happened once before, but it was only once in about 7 years. We have to climb up in the crawl space above the house and uplug the furnace for about 15 or 30 seconds, plug it back in and everything is fine. But we are now having to do that every couple of days, and I know something is not right up there. My question is, "What could be causing this to shut off". It seems to be some kind of circuit protection. If I can find the cause then I can replace this component. Thanks.

I believe that when we re-run the program with the correct date and time, if the temp has to go up, the furnace runs until it gets the appropriate temp, then it turns off and when it does that, the thermostat also turns off going to the HOLD state.
