Ideas on conceiving?
I am 19 and married.I have obsessed over having a child for as long as I can remember. I have taken fertility vit. From GNC and that didn't work and I have been off birth control for about 11 months now and nothing yet. Does anyone have any idea on anything that would help??

You may want to have a preconception visit with your doctor and discuss the various ways to determine when you might be ovulating. There are many sites online as well that will go into more detail. Some ways work better for some women than others and they can take a few months to notice a pattern. This will give you a starting place. For some couples, just having sex frequently throughout the entire cycle works well. Also wise to make sure you and your husband are both making good lifestyle choices that can improve your own health and a healthy pregnancy and baby. Do continue with a prenatal or multivitamin that has at least 400 mcg of folic acid as this is beneficial in preventing certain birth defects very early in pregnancy and it is best if women are on them prior to becoming pregnant. Your doctor will also let you know when they would consider doing any initial testing (for both of you) to see if there are any concerns that may be making it more difficult for you to become pregnant. Often this would not take place until you have been actively trying for at least a year as it can take that long, sometimes longer, for perfectly healthy couples to become pregnant. Might not help but my sister and her husband tried to conceive for 3 years will no luck they then had IVF and were told that failed, they then looked into adoption and were given the most gorgeous boy you have ever seen. To celebrate the week before they officially adopted they decided to go on a trip to celebrate, on that trip they conceived and now have a 2 and 3 year old boy and girl - the point to my story and what my sister tells everyone in similar position is sometimes you just have to wait until the baby is ready to come and if your constantly thinking about something and stressing about it your only putting your body under pressure.
