Colder the temp.. . the more I have to reset the heater.
Here's our problem. Our heater is problematic. We have a gas pack and the AC side of it works fantastic - no problems there at all. Then the winter comes. As the weather gets colder the heater cuts off more often. We've been told we may need a new motherboard but don't have the $ to buy it right now. We can pull this plug thing outside, plug it right back in and it'll start up. The colder the temp though, and the more we have to reset it. When it shuts off, you can hear the fan running, but it isn't blowing anything. It doesn't blow cold air into the house, just nothing at all. Once we reset it you can hear the burners come on and it works okay. We've had the fan replaced already and that seemed to help for a few days but now its back to the old tricks. Any suggestions?

With the very limited info you have provided you may try to clean the flame sensor if so equipped. It sounds like you are reseting the unit but who knows for sure.
