Unable to let down my guard
Hi- So, I have a problem. My ex and I broke up almost 2 years ago: he was my first boyfriend and we dated for 4 years. I've never been with anyone else. But, I miss being in a relationship now, I'm over being single. Yet, I cannot seem to... meet anyone. I go go college and hang out with friends, but whenever we go out and I get approached by a guy, I freeze up. And there's a guy I like in one of my classes and I just cannot seem to muster the courage to talk to him, maybe ask him to hang out.
UGH! Someone, please give me some advice on how to, I don't know, boost my confidence, take a leap of faith, anything! I'm starting to get a bit lonely and I'm sick of it.
    Thank you!

If you like someone, you just need to play it cool and casually talk to them. Don't get nervous or tense up. I am a guy, and very rarely do I see girls doing the "asking out" part. Just go up to him and talk to him casually. Try dating websites too, they are pretty harmless. The biggest mistake you can make though is trying to hurry and rush into a relationship just because you feel lonely. The best way, or at least from my experience, is just by casually meeting and talking to people with no expectations at all, and just letting things happen from there.
