    Premarital Bankruptcy
    Does my premarital bankruptcy, transfer to my husband to be. I am planning on gettng married and have a bankruptcy pending. My husband to be seems to think this will transfer to him after we are married.

    No. Your individual debts remain your individual debts. Of course, any joint financial decisions will be affected by your past history of bankruptcy.

    Husbands can file without wives filing - but anything joint, of course, has to be listed and the other party has to take responsibility.

    This is a good question to ask your Bankruptcy Attorney who is familiar with your exact circumstances.
