In most cases, yes. Some women don't have as large of a belly so their belly button doesn't protrude as much.

They can't determine your due date? Have you had an ultrasound done to guess-timate how far along you are?

You they have already done an ultra sound but she was new and said I just might be having a small baby but they could tell I was having a girl.
And the picture of the face looked like a real baby the eyes were in the right spot, had a nose, and a jaw line.

Maybe you should see another doctor because I don't understand why you don't have an estimate due date. How can a doctor tell you that your due between this month and March. Something is wrong! What is the date of your last period? Do you know how many months you are?

My belly button just starting coming out but I didn't start to show until I was around 5 1/2 to 6 months. Everyone is different.

My 1st ultrasound was when I was 5 months pregnant. I'm not sure when my belly button started poking out but I know it was at least 3 months before I delivered.

Why is your family dictating who you get to see as your doctor?

Your belly button protruding is not an indication of *when* you will deliver. Some navels protrude as early as the seventh month.
As the others have stated you need to get proper medical attention and a somewhat firm due date.If you have not sought out prenatal care you need to do so right away for the health of yourself and your unborn.
    Best of luck!

Your belly button protruding does not necessarily indicate being close to your due date. As was mentioned, it can protrude at different times for different women and some women never have it protrude. The measurements they took of baby should have given them a fairly good idea of how developed the baby was and give you some sort of due date from the result. Certainly your doctor must have some sort of date in mind other than a three month window of time? Ask what they have written down in your chart. Just by feel alone they would have a rough idea of size and an approximation of how far along you are.

Can you feel the baby kicking yet? Could your doctor do another ultrasound to determine the approximate size of the baby?

What was the date of your last period?

As far as belly buttons... mine never popped and my belly was quite prominent. So that doesn't really have a connection to due date. It's an old wives' tale.

I have to agree with the other posters that suggested seeing a doctor as soon as possible. You should have some estimate of when you are due.

Different doctors are getting different measurments

I thought you said you couldn't go to different doctors?? Do you remember when your last period was? How far along did they say you were at any of your visits? How far along did they estimate you were from your ultrasound where they could tell the sex? They would have measured body parts of the baby and come up with a rough idea of how developed the baby was and approximately how far along you were... that is one of the main points of the ultrasound. Somewhere someone has to have an approximate date for when you are due. As you get further along, they will start doing some poking and proding to feel baby's body parts and position, that will give them some indication as well. If not, than your guess is as good as anyone else's and you will just have to be surprised.

Something about this thread doesn't make sense. No doctor can never tell you that your due date is between December and March, and if you got an ultrasound and they informed you that the baby has their limbs then they would've been able to give you your estimated due date from the ultrasound because if they looked at that I am pretty sure that they mesure everything else.

    Again, something isn't right.
