    Retired Moving Expenses
I have retired from work and am in the process of moving to a new state. Under Tax code, I meet the distance requirement for deducting moving expenses.

My question is: Is retirement considered an "employment" for tax purposes?

Sorry, but you must have some type of full-time employment in the new state in order to claim moving expenses.
