    Heater faults out? Won't Light!
I have a Nordyne Model#R4GC that will not light. It gives me a fault light reading of 4 flashes which means "Ignition Failure (Check Ground)". How do I correct this. Your help is much anticipated. Thanks John

Here is your instruction sheets for your unit I believe.NOTE The Nordyne unit is made by one company BUT marketed under 5 or 6 different brand names.

I would start by cleaning the flame sensor. Then I would restart the unit and watch to see if the lights up. If the ignitor does not glow then I would test the circuit for it. It is a 120 volt circuit that feeds the ignitor. You can also test the ignitor itself. It should be between 20 and 300 ohm's on your meter.EASY does it on the ignitor. They are fragile and do not touch the black part with your fingers.

You will probably find out the ignitor is bad but you should always test first.

Note the roll out switch may also have a reset you can push. You can also test the roll out switch with your meter.
