    Criminal charge with payday loan
I received a payday loan last year, no check was written by me for deposit on loan. I received it from CASHNETUSA on the internet. I paid $240 for a $200 loan, and still owe $10. I am now being threatened with criminal charges for check fraud, while no check was written by myself. Can they press charges, or is this just a threat, that I have researched on the web. PS, I received the loan in PA, now live in NYS.

Why don't you just pay the $10 owed to this company and tell them to get lost? This is a civil matter and not a criminal matter by the way. Had you not paid anything toward the payday loan they could possibly do something criminal against you but I sincerely doubt it. Collection companies are getting more and more clever nowadays in their collection practices.
