    Masonary chimney step flashing
    Please explain step flashing on a masonary block chimney and is it necessary on a chimney that is under the eves of the house. Thanks!

    Is it cinder block?

    By eave do you mean the bottom of the roofline?

    What type of roofing material is on the building?
