    Toilet Leaks Without Flushing
I posted a question just last week about the closet flange possibly being too low beneath the level of the ceramic tile. At the time, I hadn't yet removed the toilet, and I was just going off what I remembered from reinstalling the toilet after we put down the tile.

When we removed the toilet to find out what the problem was, and try to fix it, the only thing that was actually wrong was that the bolts had pulled through, and broken the slots in the flange. I found the parts I needed at the hardware store to fix this problem, two metal pieces to screw down over the flange to repair the slots, and installed them according to the instructions. We put in a new wax ring, and reset the toilet, hooked everything back up, and turned on the water.

Now I started cleaning up and putting away tools while I waited for the tank to fill up, and when I came back to flush it and make sure it worked, it was already leaking from around the base of the toilet, without even being flushed. How is this happening?
