    Bathroom odor
Last week I had my sewer pipe roto rootered for its yearly cleaning. The next day the washer backed up and then the sewer backed up into the bathtub. Clear water covered the floor. All the water and sewage was cleaned up; the plumber cleaned out the pipe again. He said when he did this, it sucked all the water out of the toilet which he refilled. Ever since then, there is a bad odor in my bathroom - it isn't exactly sewer but is not pleasant. I poured bleach down the drains and toilet as well as vinegar. I can't get rid of it and I can't cover it up. What can I do?

That should have sent up a red flag and started warning bells to go off. I'm amazed your plumber missed it. Call him back and tell him to snake out the bathroom toilets vent. Either it's blocked or nonexistent. If the nwater could be sucked out of your toilet bowl think what it would do on a trao with less then a quart of water in it? Your bathroom traps may be allowing sewer gas to enter your home.
Have this looked after ASAP. Good luck and thank you for rating my reply, Tom, Tom
