What to make of this stuff?
So, I have been going strict NC for the past 13 days. Not long, but hey, it is a start. At any rate, my ex emails me today asking how I am doing and wanting to make sure I am doing good (yak!). At any rate, I have developed a lot of self confidence and cockiness (the way I was before I met her), so I played along with her game. Couple of emails later I basically said in a very arrogant manor that she need not be scared to run into me at a bar, cause I am the type that will buy her a shot right in front of her new man. She replied in a very irritated tone, "I do NOT have another man! Stop saying that. I am glad you are doing good and I wish you the best." I just laughed cause I enjoy pissing her off from time to time. At any rate, I just replied "It's all in good fun. Relax a bit, you sound tense." Just another smart a$$ email in other words.

Now, I am not at all upset that I broke NC. It doesn't effect me at all. The weird thing is that she denies having another man, as I went NC because I found this out. Why exactly did she make such a big deal of it?

This is very childish between both of you, trading shots at each other. She moved on, as you say, so let it go. Don't harbor hurtful feelings or this cocky attitude because you won't fool anyone. All it will make you seem is childish and immature. You want to know how I handled seeing my ex with her new guy, I went up and shook his hand at a party we were all attending. She had pointed me out to him, we knew who each other were and even though I was intoxicated at the party, I shook his hand like a man and said hello and nice to meet you. Said goodbye to my ex and have a good night.

That's how you handle a situation, not with childish antics through e-mail.

She didn't get the reply she wanted, and you pizzed her off. Not classy at all, but she may take the hint, and leave you alone. That was the purpose for the attitude wasn't it??

Yes, that was the intention. Look, Rome is right. I acted pretty childish and I am pretty embarrassed by my behavior. Not really who I am. Yes, I made a mistake, and I will learn from it. More upset that I broke NC than anything, but I will pick myself up and move on.

Dude, go back to NC. Remember what everyone else has been saying in every other thread, she was wondering if you were still there thinking of her. Your responding to her email said to her "I'm still here, not over you yet." Get back on NC and make her live with her mistake of leaving you.

Don't play HER games... they will not get you anywhere. It's only been 13 days... definitely not long enough for you to be talking with her. Your better than a game. You know that. You need to get the power back and focus that on something else.

Just start over and do what you do for a bit and not worry about her and what she thinks. It's hard! I haven't been contacted by my ex... yet! Just be strong, go out, hang with your friends! Also I've found that listening to some hardcore rock music helps too (if that's your type of music).

    Take it Day by Day!!
