    Father's Rights To His Child?
I just found out that I am pregnant with my ex-fiance's child. I am 20 and he is 24.

I don't want him to have any rights to the baby. He is a terrible influence and is too immature to take care of a baby. Plus he lives with his mother and she throws horrific temper tantrums over nothing, so I don't want my child in that sort of environment.

If he wants to see the baby, I wouldn't mind it if I was there to supervise the visits, but I don't trust him alone with it.

I do want him to pay child support, but I don't think that he would even if there was a court order for it.

Is there any way that I can make sure that my ex-fiance does not have rights to my child? Or if he has to have rights, is there anyway that I can make sure he is never alone with the child and especially never has it at his mother's house?

Well for starters it took two to make the child. That being said at this point he has no rights so if you don't want him involved then don't tell him when the kid is born and don't ever take him to court for anything. All he has to do to gain his rights is go to court. After he finds out the child is born he prtitions the judge to order a DNA test and when it comes back to be his then he will be ordered to pay support and also given visitation. Some states have sticter visitation for children under one year of age that are breast feed and some don't. Other than that unless you can prove to a judge that he is a danger to the child he will have alone time with him/her over nights even especially once that one year mark passes. You will need a lot of proof of him being an actual danger not just that his mom throws tantrums and acts immature. You have the choice of who can father your child by having sex (protection isn't 100%) you chose him to be allowed to be able to be a father to your child so now you can either avoid him at all costs and hope he never goes to court or learn to deal with it.
