    Violent Attack Byb Future Children's Teacher
    How can I make sure that a person whom violently attacked me never has the opportunity to be a children's teacher?

    The only thought I would have is to file a complaint with the teacher certification board in your County and/or state.

    What info would be helpful? I was attacked by a person who is almost finished with her educational criteria to become a children's school teacher. I have photographs of what she did to me and will be going to court on Monday to file a restaining order. She has a very long and well documented history of severe mental illness and if I can, I would like to prevent her from hurting any children in her possible future career.

    She is not yet a teacher, but is trying to become one. It is very possible that she will move out of state and teach there in order to try to conceal her history of mental illness.

    Hello jess:

    All you can do is press criminal charges against her and file civil suits against her for damages.

    If you do MORE than that, you could be sued.

    So basically there's nothing I can do to prevent any children she will be "teaching" in the future? I don't want to press charges against her if I don't have to. Her parents are already going broke because of her prior legal matters. Thank you for answering though.

    If you don't file charges against her she will just be getting away Scott free. If you did file charges and she was convicted, then that conviction will stay with her forever. Do you really want a mentally ill person teaching children? No. I've personally seen enough of these "nut cases" in our schools here. What difference does it make if her parents are already going broke because of her prior legal matters as you put it? You certainly would not be here asking a question if you didn't want an answer. Apparently you are being too soft on this person, yet you want to stop her from being a teacher. Which is it?

    If she has a criminal record for bodily attacking another person (adult) I am sure that any prospective school district will certainly think twice about hiring her.

    It's really up to you. If you can prove she attacked you and have photos to prove it, go for it. Keep this one out of our schools. I wish someone had kept a few of my son's teachers out of the school system in Florida when he was attending school there.

    No, if you do not press criminal charges then no there is nothing else you can do. Since of course they are innocent legally until proven guilty in a court of law.

    So if you have not called the police and made a police report, in fact you could even be sued for sending unproven info to harm the other person.

    Next of course it will even depend on what they are charged with, misdemeanor or felony and even then they may still be able to get hired as a teacher in some schools,

    But without pressing charges, and getting her convicted nothing will be stoping her from getting these jobs.

    And of course the reason for the attack.
