    Theft by shoplifting
    My boyfriend was arrested for theft by shoplifting in Louisiana, this is his first offense and he has no criminal record. It IS a misdemeanor, what do you think will happen to him?

    In fl, 100 fine and court costs depending on how much item was worth and next offense is 10 days jail and so on - does depend on where you are though - Google pety theft your county penalties - should get an idea
