    Workout Routine
What would you say is a healthy routine at the gym?

I normally start with 10 min warm up cardio, then work on abs for a half hour, and then weights for a half hour, and then 45 of cardio.

My workout routine consist of ten minutes of cardio everyday, legs and bottom Monday, arms and back Wednesday and I do abs every other day at home. This was the plan devised by a friend of mine who is a trainer.

    What's your goal?

Good workout routines often consist of using different modes of exercise... top athletes cross train for a reason.

Personally, I like to mix a couple of days of cardio (usually running or bike) with a couple of days of weights and/or other workouts, like tae bo or pilates.

Doing the same thing over and over doesn't work, or at least has diminishing returns over time. Keeping your body guessing through varied routines is the best way to force it to respond.

Your routine isn't bad, but you should probably also try to incorporate other workouts into the mix. I favor Stott pilates for building core strength, and like blanks tae bo for a fast, mindless change of pace.

It's worked very well for me; I had a baby in July and I'm back to my pre-pregnancy self pretty much :) I do however agree with kp also... mixing up your workout will do a lot of good. I use different techniques each day that I work my leg/bottom or arms/back; I also do little extras such as strolling the baby and mom/baby workouts. Have a consistent routine but mix it up and keep challenging yourself. EAT RIGHT too :)

MWF - I do cardio... run for 45 minutes to an hour.

    T/TH/S - I lift weights.

    Sunday's my off day.

Also, are you looking at your diet a bit differently?
