    Need more speed!
    I have a hp pavilion pentium 4 processor ,I need to know what I can do to to upgrade and have more speed and gb I have 80 gb right now.I need more speed.

    My computer is kind of slow... I want more speed and maybe more gigabytes and memory... what would I look for to buy when I go to buy it

    Depending on what operating system and how much memory you have now

    If you have XP you can upgrade to 3gb ram (if you go to 4gb, XP will only address 3.5gb)

    In Vista, you can go up to 4gb ram

    Depending on what type of RAM you have now, you would have to purchase the same type as what you have installed now

    You can always get a new hard drive with more space

    The link posted above will help speed up your system as in when you click on something or search, you will notice faster response time

    I have widows xp professional 2002 service pack 3...

    Computer
    Intel(R)
    Pentium (R) 4 CPU 1500 MHz

    1.49 GHz, 448 MB of RAM

    Well definitely more RAM will make a noticeable difference

    Even 512mb more ram will make a difference, 2 gig ram should be plenty for you - 2 - 1gb RAM

    I would think if 1gb you would be surprised at the difference and 2 gig as mentioned would be more than enough

    Just have to make sure you get the proper RAM for your PC
    The same type you have now but larger in capacity of course
