Depending on what operating system and how much memory you have now

If you have XP you can upgrade to 3gb ram (if you go to 4gb, XP will only address 3.5gb)

In Vista, you can go up to 4gb ram

Depending on what type of RAM you have now, you would have to purchase the same type as what you have installed now

You can always get a new hard drive with more space

The link posted above will help speed up your system as in when you click on something or search, you will notice faster response time

Well definitely more RAM will make a noticeable difference

Even 512mb more ram will make a difference, 2 gig ram should be plenty for you - 2 - 1gb RAM

I would think if 1gb you would be surprised at the difference and 2 gig as mentioned would be more than enough

Just have to make sure you get the proper RAM for your PC
The same type you have now but larger in capacity of course
