    Ceiling light wiring failure
    HI
About 5 monthes ago I had a ceiling mounted light fail on the third floor of my house. I thought this was an isolated incident. Then about a week ago I had the same issue with another ceiling fixture. . These fixtures are on the 3rd floor and basement floor of my house. No circuit breaker was thrown. I also have noticed some flickering of lamps that are plugged into wall fixtures the last few daysMy questions are as follows. Are these events related and what could the problem be?

    Thanks
    Tamara

The question is too vague and general, lacking any detail that anyone could grasp what the actual problem is.

What do you mean by fail?

The flickering is an indication of a loose connection somewhere. There are so many locations a loose connection can be, outside in the utility system, in the utility meter, panelboard, a circuit breaker, a splice in any junction box, or at any light, switch, or receptacle.

Without more detail, it will be difficult to direct you to the exact problem location.

Best I can offer is to have your symptoms checked by a professional electrician.
