Harbor breeze ceiling fan won't go on
Ive had a harbor breeze ceiling fan for a while now and today it decided not to go on anymore. It has a remote and no strings to pull or anything, this happened before and they told me to hold down some buttons on the remote, I think, but I can't remember. Does anyone else remember what to do... thanks

Does the little red light come on in your remote when you push a button? Tested the batteries yet?

So you are transmitting but is the receiver getting the message and does the fan have power. Both tests require a ladder. Open the canopy to inspect the wiring coming into the fan prior to the receiver. Test across your black and white wires detached from the receiver, what dio you get?

    I agree.

    1. Check power at the fan
    2. Check the dip switches
    3. Bad receiver
    4. (unlikely) bad remote.

Harbor breeze can send you the parts for #3 and #4 their number is listed in the Electrical forums.

I don't mess with that site. Habor Breeze can sell you the parts directly for a lot less.

I replaced the pull switch for fan motor. In the process of rewiring the new pull switch, the black wire from old switch was not connected, so when I replaced with new switch I connected black wires. The light works but fan doesn't. The switch is a 4-wire pull chain switch.
